Summary
Madrid, 1974. Former women's jail of Yeserias. Lucia, a young woman well situated in society, is condemned to spend ten years in jail because of her relationship with an anti-Franco militant. In prison she lives with every type of woman--intellectuals, killers, illiterates... Each shares the same food, living space, joys and pities; joined by the same fate, lack of freedom, they fight together against desperation. Lucia learns to live and, contrary to what she imagined, appreciate tenderness and laughter in this place of suffering
